Description of NIC Student Housing, and Rooms
NIC's Student Housing Commons has a mix of housing options available.

Nano: Budget-friendly units with mixed-use furnishings.

Studio: Standard single-occupant rooms with additional space.

Quad: Units built to accommodate up to four roommates. This is a great option for students interested in living with friends or peers with similar lifestyles.

Family: 2-bedroom suites purpose-built for students with families, including children or adults who require care. These units are equipped with three beds and can each accommodate up to four people.
Priority Access
NIC Student Housing will give priority to Indigenous students and students who are Former Youth in Care who meet early application timelines.
Explanation of the Room Assignment Process
Steps to Secure Your Place in NIC Student Housing:
1. Submit Your Application: Complete your housing application through this portal and pay the non-refundable $50.00 application fee to begin the process.
2. Application Confirmation: Once your application is submitted, NIC Student Housing will confirm receipt and provide details on the timeline for reviewing and responding to your application.
3. Accept Your Room Offer: If your application is successful, you will receive a room offer. Secure your space by paying the Room Acceptance Fee before the deadline stated in your offer.
4. Prepare for Move-In: Get ready for move-in day by reviewing key housing information, including check-in procedures and a checklist of what to bring.
